Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Do you have an idea for a base price of an animation? I'm not that great at offering a price, but I have an Espeon character that I'd love to get an animation for. ^^ What I have in mind is Espeon running, but then sharply turning around to fire off a psybeam, and then turning to continue running again.

Thats pretty simple, so I wouldnt think itd be too much.
I charge by the hour, so something like that I imagine would be somewhere in the $50-$60 range~
The price can vary as well depending on things like color, size and complexity (like if this were just going to be an icon it can be cheaper)
